I will give you five (5) tips that will make your beach escapade worthy.

1. MUD TRAIL

My students walking straight following the trails

If you don't exercise daily then this suits you. Walking around 500 meters away from shore is a good exercise with a tricky and muddy trail. Visiting Vanishing Island in a good timing makes your adventure great.  Mud trail adventure is walking straight the trail across the muddy mini river like water with  is a great experience and if you are lucky that you make your own trail. WELL, the mud will swallow you just like a little quicksand effect or i should say quick-mud.. LOL! about one foot depth or more because the only trail you'll follow is the trail straight in front of you no other more.

Hundred percent sure it is a THUMB"S UP experience.

2.  MANGROVE PLANTING

Ma'am Karen and her baby seedlings..

We are aware of our situation how tress or natural resources being abused.Well, with this simple advocacy as a concerned citizen it is more purposeful in your outdoor trip if you insert planting mangrove trees in Vanishing Island. I will give you three reasons why you should do this.

           - First of all, of course mangroves are the habitats of small fishes they lay their eggs in the root and these serves as barriers from big waves. Mangroves are not just for fishes it as also the habitats of the flying creatures like King Fishers.

passion with purpose

           - Second, you are helping the Locals. Most of the locals survive through to sea. so Some locals have their mangroves seedlings, so even in a small amount, you were helping them.

      - Third, you have reasons to get back. You didn't just enjoy beach but you a planted and you have to nurture it. What you've done will stick in memories and once you remember it you'll come up and visit what you've planted and you can brag to your circles that you contributed in preserving natural resources.

Don't worry we didn't leave without  our plastic bags with us. After we planted I ask them to pick all the plastics around.

3.  FOOD TRIP

Ma'am Karen and the Sea Urchins "swaki".

Food......... We can't have a get away party without bringing foods, it is incomplete... and I agree with that..
But, why don't we try food fresh from the sea? what do you think? hmmm... eating fresh sea foods in the sea increase your appetite (I don't know why...Really).

Fresh Anchovies "Bulinaw" dip in Coconut Vinegar plus "Bahaw" Left over rice.

"Swaki"  with "Suka Tuba" Coconut Vinegar .

Along the sea shore lots of fisher folks doing their daily works, catching fishes by net, Picking some sea shells and other sea creatures..
There are lots of fisher folks out there, You can asked them with a negotiable price and you can serve fresh from the sea delicacies.

Eating this sea urchin specie is not that easy. If you are a first timer ask how to eat. Sea Urchins has thorns that might tickle your parts. ( Just tickle)
.
No worries if it happens.....Hmmmmmm.... Olds said Urinating the affected part is the cure... I can offer.. Huhah..

4.  EXERCISE

If you are not satisfied doing mud trail adventure, here some tips. Upon reaching the lowest tide, the Island widened up to 40 hectares I think. So if you want to roam around its up to you.

walking in the sandbars is a relief from any stress even if you are a broken hearted or depressed etc... It is best for you and you will enjoy the scenery while walking. The breeze o the sea will massage you mind and soul.

5. CAPTURE

Jump Shot (The memories that last forever).

The last... To capture adventure is incomplete without evidences. So, Documentation is a must doing all what is saying above. Share it to you friend who missed your adventure and plan to come back again.

I hope this would help you to enjoy more in Visiting the Vanishing Island.

PS:
Make sure if you visit the Island ask  someone who knows what is the best day to reach the lowest tide.

Enjoy.....
